This website can be accessed at www.omarstailors.com and is owned and operated by RETRO STAR (PTY) LTD.

These Website Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern the ordering, sale and delivery of Goods, and the use of the Website and any entity thereof.

These Terms and Conditions are binding and enforceable against every person that accesses or uses this Website or makes a purchase at our Durban store (“you”, “your” or “user”), including without limitation each user who registers as contemplated below (“registered user”). By using the Website, as may be applicable, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The Website lets you shop online for an extensive range of men’s formal fashion. (“Goods”).

We may change our terms of use from time to time. Such changes will take effect when they are published. You should therefore read the terms of use each time before using our services.

 

Delivery

Our products are delivered within South Africa and can be delivered to either a residential or employment address. A delivery charge will be applicable on orders below R1500 unless otherwise stipulated – customers will be made aware of said delivery charge upon checkout of their order.

Omar's Tailors & Outfitters will have your products delivered within 7 working days in the main city centres, as well as for the store collection option and within 7 – 15 working days for all other regions, from the date of dispatch. The main city centres include Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Please note that the number of days is a guideline and the delivery may take longer/shorter having regard to relevant circumstances. We will not be liable for any loss and/or liabilities and/or costs and/or damages and/ or expenses arising as a result of the late delivery.

Returns or Exchanges

We want our customers to be happy with their purchase. If you are not completely satisfied we will do our best to accommodate a replacement product or a credit refund.

The following conditions need to be complied with:

  1. Notify us of your intention to return the products within 48 hours of the date of delivery via email at sales@omarstailors.com

  2. We offer 14-day returns/exchanges, and 7-day refunds for any product purchased in-store and online. Returns can be lodged at our Durban store, via email to sales@omarstailors.com or through the ‘Contact Us’ tab on our website.

  3. The product must be in its original packaging with all seals intact as at the point of sale. All returned goods are inspected to ensure that they are undamaged, unused and in the original packaging. We reserve the right to refuse a return if the product shows signs of use, has been damaged or is not in the original packaging.

  4. We reserve the right to refund a purchase if pending fees, accounts or agreements are to be settled between the business and the customer or merchant. As a security measure, any standing/pending orders will be placed on hold until outstanding agreements are settled between the business and party/s involved.

  5. SALE ITEMS: No returns or refunds on sale items will be accepted, however an exchange for a different size or colour of the same value provided that such variation is available, may be requested within 14 days of purchase.

We reserve the right to refuse returns 14 days after the delivery date as well as items that do not meet the standards of return. Kindly note that the cost relating to the return of the products will solely be the customers' responsibility.

 

Returns on Promotional Items:

3FOR2:

In the event of our “3FOR2” promotion, the following refund conditions apply:

  1. Eligibility for Promotion: To qualify for this promotion, a consumer must purchase a minimum of three items, 2 being full-priced items is required. The item with the lowest price among the purchased goods will be provided free of charge.

  1. Refund on Returning Two or More Items: If a consumer chooses to return two or more items, adhering to our standard return policy, the refund amount will be calculated as follows: The combined price of the two or more returned items, excluding the lowest-priced (free) item, will be refunded. For example, if a consumer purchases four items and returns two, the refund will be the total cost of these two items minus the price of the least expensive item among the initial purchase.

  1. Refund on Returning a Single Item(Excluding Free Item): In cases where only one item is returned, and this item is not the free item received as part of the promotion, the refund will be the cost of the returned item minus the price of the free item. This ensures that the benefit of the promotion is preserved in line with the purchase conditions.

  1. Non-refundable Free Item: The free item obtained as part of the promotion is strictly non-refundable. No monetary refund or store credit will be offered if the free item is returned on its own.

This promotional refund policy is intended to ensure fairness while allowing our customers to enjoy the benefits of our promotional offers. All returns are subject to our standard return policy conditions, including proof of purchase and item condition requirements.

 

Defective Goods

We pride ourselves on using only the finest raw materials and strive to manufacture our products to the highest quality standards.

All items are checked by Omar's Tailors & Outfitters staff for visible factory defects before shipment is made to you however, in the unlikely case, should you purchase a defective product, you must ensure that you notify us within 12 hours of delivery of the defect along with an image clearly showing the defect via e-mail to sales@omarstailors.com. The product must be returned within six months from the date of purchase and a dated photograph of the defect taken at the date of delivery will also be required.

Should a product be defective we are happy to assess the defect and perform the following:

  1. Repair the identified defect.

  2. Exchange the defective product.

  3. Refunded

 

The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return:

  1. faults resulting from normal wear and tear;

  2. damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;

  3. damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;

  4. damage arising from unauthorised alterations to the product; and

  5. where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.

Omar's Tailors & Outfitters reserves the right to elect whether the product should be repaired or exchanged based on a physical inspection of the defective product.

 

Orders & Payments

Users may place orders for Goods, which Omar's Tailors & Outfitters may accept or reject. Whether or not Omar's Tailors & Outfitters accepts an order depends on the availability of Goods, correctness of the information relating to the Goods (including without limitation the price) and receipt of payment or payment authorisation by Omar's Tailors & Outfitters for the Goods. 

NOTE: Omar's Tailors & Outfitters will indicate the acceptance of your order by delivering the Goods to you, and only at that point will an agreement of sale between you and Omar's Tailors & Outfitters come into effect (the “Sale”). This is regardless of any communication from Omar's Tailors & Outfitters stating that your order or payment has been confirmed. Omar's Tailors & Outfitters will indicate the rejection of your order by cancelling it and, as soon as possible thereafter, refunding you for any amount already paid.

We strive to get orders fulfilled and shipped as quickly as possible. For that reason, there is a very small window for us to cancel/edit orders once they are placed through our website. The estimated window for cancellations/edits is 30 minutes once you have submitted your order. If your order is within the estimated window please contact our customer service team at sales@omarstailors.com. Please note that cancellation/edit requests made outside of business hours (8 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday) will not be responded to until the following business day.

Placing Goods in a shopping basket without completing the purchase cycle does not constitute an order for such Goods, and as such, Goods may be removed from the shopping basket if stock is no longer available. You cannot hold Omar's Tailors & Outfitters liable if such Goods are not available when you complete or attempt to complete the purchase cycle at a later stage.

You acknowledge that the stock of all Goods on offer is limited. In the case of Goods for sale by Omar's Tailors & Outfitters, Omar's Tailors & Outfitters will make all reasonable efforts to monitor stock levels and ensure that when stock is no longer available, offers thereof are discontinued on the Website. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of stock. When Goods are no longer available after placing an order, Omar's Tailors & Outfitters will notify you and you will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid by you for such Goods. 

 

Discount Codes:

Discount Codes are issued electronically at Omar's Tailors & Outfitters’s sole discretion and may only be used on the Website & cannot be redeemed in-store unless specified otherwise. Users do not have a right to Discount Codes, and Discount Codes cannot be earned. Discount Codes are issued under specific terms and conditions regulating when and how they may be used.

Only one Discount Code can be used per person unless Omar's Tailors & Outfitters specifies otherwise; and Discount Codes cannot be used to buy other Discount Codes, exchanged for cash, and are not transferable to any other person.

Omar's Tailors & Outfitters reserves the right to legal action against abuse of web discount codes used on the website regardless of technical errors. Abuse of the above terms will be a breach of the website terms and conditions which are accepted upon checkout on www.omarstailors.com.

 

Gift Card / Credit Voucher: 

Designed with flexibility and convenience in mind, our Gift Vouchers come with a generous validity period of 36 months from the date of issue, providing you with an abundance of time to immerse yourself in our carefully curated assortment of premium footwear and accessories. Please take a moment to peruse the terms and conditions outlined below to maximize the benefits of your voucher:

 

  1. The Gift Card / Credit Voucher is valid for 36 months from the date of issue. 

  2. The Gift Voucher / Credit Voucher can not be exchanged for cash. 

  3. The Gift Voucher / Credit Voucher may be exchanged for goods or services of a higher value, on payment of the difference. 

  4. The Gift Voucher / Credit Voucher will be subject to verification at the time of presentation. 

  5. The person who is in possession of the digital Gift Card / Credit Voucher is deemed to be the beneficiary.

  6. The Gift Card / Credit Voucher can only be used on a once-off basis.

  7. The Gift Card / Credit Voucher cannot be revalidated once expired or cancelled under any circumstance.


The Gift Card / Credit Voucher is delivered digitally by email and redemption instructions can be found on the email itself.
